Traditional Home Pagaruyung



     Traditional home pagaruyung which was rebuilt in 1976 is the duplicate of Rajo Alam Minangkabau Grand Palace which was burnt down by the Dutch in 1804. This building consists of 11 horn-like roof, 72 piles and 3 floor, it is also suurounded by surau (the small mosque), tabuah (drum) and “rangkiang patah IX”.  Physically, the traditional home pagaruyung was adorned by beautiful wooden carving symbolizing the phylosophy of history and culture of Minangkabau people.
